Agate Burnishers make excellent burnishers for copper or zinc etching, mezzotint and photogravure. The smooth, polished stone is much harder than steel and does not mar the metal like steel. The agate stone easily brings the metal to print with a pure, bright white highlight or lighter tone as needed. Use a small amount of oil when burnishing. The #14 handles like a pencil for fine detail work and the #3 fits comfortably within the hand for details or polishing plate bevels. Colors and size will vary slightly for #3, approx 3.25" long.
